Methods to Access Any Blocked Website Through Online

Several methods to access any blocked website through online can be done through these ways.

1. Using IP address instead of URL

Use the IP instead of using the URL of the site. This method is entirely depends on the software or appication used. Sometimes the blocked sites are stored as per the list of URL’s. For example: www.yahoo.com, www.facebook.com, www.abcd.com, etc. In such a case using the IP instead of the URL might work. In a local computer, doing a ping domain.com command in command promt wll return you the IP address. You can also find it via online with the search of Whatsmyip. If you are a MAC user then use Terminal.

2. Rewriting the URL

This trick works for few websites, and it may not work for many websites. Especially this trick is worked for the websites who host their sites in a VPS or Dedicated Server Environment and have an unverified SSL installed for that domain name. To access these sites all you need to do is follow the steps.
  • Go to the address bar of your browser
  • Instead of typing www.websiteURL.com or http://www.WebsiteURL.com, try typing https://www.WebsiteURL.com.
So, if the domain has an unverified SSL installed it will show you security pop up notice like the website you are going to visit is unverified/untrusted site. Choose the option “Proceed Anyway” (Chrome users) or add exception certificate in Firefox to proceed to the website.

DNS is the Server which contains all the information about all the websites from entire the World. If any country blocks any website for their Country IPs, they block it in their own DNS server. For this if you use Google DNS or OpenDNS, you can access the blocked websites easily. This trick generally works very well. For this steps are as follows.
